Founded in 2016 by Jason Hancock, the first Special Beauty Japan was held on March 5th, 2017. Since then, each year the number of participants has increased, and more and more youth are able to experience this unique program. In 2018, a collaboration with Kashiwa Golden Hawks (a top cheer dance team in Japan) created the Dream Team including cheerleaders of different skill sets and have since performed and competed at various competitions. In 2019, within Yamano Beauty College, The Amigo Center was opened and events and lessons for youth with special needs began. Currently acting, dance basics, sign language, yoga, English conversation, and art classes are held.
